Head Consulting is changing its trading name to Cognique from 5 September 2008. Founder Paul Stephenson explains the reason behind the change, “When I set up the business in October 2003 I wasn’t sure whether it would become an IT consultancy or graphic design business, so I wanted a name which would accommodate either. Since then the business has been mistaken for a recruitment agency on more than one occasion and also a psychologist practice (particularly confusing while we shared a building with one). Each time this happened I made a mental note to do something about it - and that time has finally come.”

What does Cognique mean?
The name ‘Cognique’ is a portmanteau of the words ‘cognitive’ and ‘unique’ - the aim of the business being to offer clients unique thinking on design, marketing and print. The head illustration has been retained as a visual link with the previous name.

Is it a different business/company?
No - it’s the same business with the same people. Only the trading name has changed. The company name remains Headconsulting Services Limited, in this case trading as Cognique.

Mark’s art shines with iTunes treatment

Local painter Mark Noble has new website, www.marknobleart.org.uk, with an iTunes inspired interface. The website, which was launched last week, uses a Flash component on its homepage which works like iTunes’ coverflow but is used to browse Mark’s paintings instead of album art. “We really wanted to make the paintings the most prominent element within the site while giving visitors an easy way to browse through them and show them at their very best”, commented Paul Stephenson of Head Consulting.

Chameleon climbs online

The team at Chameleon Manufacturing Company Limited has been designing, manufacturing and fitting luxury made-to-measure kitchens, bedrooms and home office/study furniture for over 20 years but only recently decided to take the business online. Their website, www.chameleonmc.co.uk, doesn’t try to replace their expansive showroom displays but instead encourages prospective buyers to visit the Somerton showroom in person. Commenting on the project Paul Stephenson of Head Consulting said, ‘Chameleon is typical of the type of business we love working with - a local business with a great reputation among its customers.
