New identity and e-commerce website for Fuzzy Warbles

Vinyl aficionado Stephen Waldron approached Cognique to make a lifelong dream come true: to own his own record shop. He already had a brilliant name (Fuzzy Warbles Vinyl Records), the notion of selling niche genre vinyl online and an idea for how his logo should look. But what he needed was someone to help him deliver the whole package professionally, and within a few short weeks. Based on the business name we first developed an 'A Clockwork Orange' inspired identity: Once the identity was a...

Their current website wasn't being found on Google as it wasn't search engine optimised, and most importantly it didn't have a content management system so they couldn't update the website themselves. Also the existing site wasn't optimised for viewing on mobile phones....

Are you ready for dot 'anything'?

ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, has begun accepting applications for new generic top-level domains (TLDs), allowing organisations more choice in selecting a domain name or even allowing them to request their own private ‘dot anything’ names. Why the change? With over 200m active websites, the internet is running out of domain names! The most usable names are already taken in the most popular suffixes such as .com, .net, .info and .co.uk, making it increasi...

QR codes - what are they and how to use them

What are QR codes? A QR code is a 2D black and white barcode which can be used to store text, a web link, contact information and other data.
