RichardsonGill are based in Seaton, Devon and specialise in residential and commercial property sales and lettings. Owners Andy Richardson and Malcolm Gill were concerned their current property management software was starting to show its age, so the decision was made to move over to the feature-rich, Jupix software. Having successfully worked with Jupix before, Cognique were invited to redevelop the RichardsonGill website and integrate it with the property management system, ensuring that properties automatically synced online whenever changes were made in the office.
RichardsonGill had been using their current property management software for 10 years, but it was now starting to show its age. Newer, feature-packed software (that allows quicker and easier management of property portfolios), was now available. The decision was made to migrate to Jupix for the ongoing management of their properties. As their existing website was beginning to show signs of holding their business back, it was a perfect opportunity to develop a new website and bring their web presence up to date, along with their in-house software.
RichardsonGill wanted to avoid having to update the website and Jupix each time a property was added, or updated, so it was vital that the new website worked seamlessly with Jupix property management software. Cognique developed a completly bespoke synchronisation facility, utilising the Jupix XML property feed. This functionality allows properties to be added and updated automatically on the website whenever the Jupix system is modified (including imagery, EPCs, brochures and property details).
RichardsonGill explained that they wanted the ability to add a property and have it synchronise immediately with different portals, including their own website. Cognique developed a Jupix synchronisation script that automatically picks up new, or updated properties from within Jupix and pushes them to the website. This unique feature helped remove the ‘management pain’ normally involved in the running of their property website.
The ability for home hunters to find their perfect property quickly and easily, is one of the most important jobs for an estate agents website. Utilising all the property data available in Jupix, Cognique were able to develop a feature-packed, advanced search facility for the RichardsonGill website, which included radius, bedroom, type and price filtering.
Another primary goal of an estate agents website is to increase property viewings and in turn, increase sales. Cognique developed strong, user friendly Call To Actions (CTAs) on the RichardsonGill property details pages (both desktop and mobile) to make booking a viewing simple. When a viewing is requested, a notification is automatically sent to a RichardsonGill negotiator so that a booking can be arranged.
Clear website Call To Actions (CTAs) encourage website visitors to quickly sign up for property alerts. Once submitted, notifications are sent to the RichardsonGill negotioators and added to the Jupix property management software. Alerts are automatically generated and sent when properties matching a visitors search criteria are added or updated. Visitors can sit back, relax and let the perfect home find them!
