Award-winning Glastonbury Spring Water have been bottling natural spring water for over 30 years. Nestled in the shadow of the iconic Glastonbury Tor, they draw crystal clear water direct from source, deep within George’s spring. Always conscious of the environment around them and continually striving to reduce their carbon footprint, Glastonbury Spring Water felt it was time for a website that reflected (and supported) their business ambitions.
For any eCommerce site, strong User Experience (UX) is a must – allowing customers to successfully navigate multiple SKUs and services. However, this site wasn’t built purely with the end user in mind. It formed part of a powerful internal system and allowed Glastonbury Spring Water to take control of their digital shopping platform. Suddenly adding and updating product images, descriptions, prices etc had become straightforward and time saving.
WordPress is Cognique’s go-to platform for website development and once combined with WooCommerce (the powerful WordPress eCommerce plugin) the Glastonbury Spring Water website began to take shape. However, the flexibility of WordPress allowed us to demonstrate further creativity and added value when we developed and integrated a custom Quick Order system and a ‘hidden’ payment gateway for existing clients.
Glastonbury Spring Water were keen to adopt Google Shopping: a powerful form of digital marketing that gives access to a much broader audience of online shoppers. Once the eCommerce website was developed and live we linked it to Google Merchant Center, a tool that uploads products and data, making it available for Google Ads campaigns. Regular monitoring made it easy to spot emerging trends and also adjust the campaigns if necessary.
